Bored, so a few pics, and some ramblings ^_^

And just so you know, there's SO MUCH RANDOM in this post!!

But first, a question;
What do *you*

wear, when you're

hanging out around

your house?

DON'T SAY "NOTHING," PERVERTS :P

I ask this because I've been told it's weird that I change my clothes (work clothes/shopping clothes/night out clothes) as soon as I walk in the door basically. Usually into a hoodie and shorts, or a tank top and shorts or a housecoat if I'm freeeeezing cold and feel the need to be snuggly-comfy.

Anyway, on with the pic-spam @_@

Photobucket

NAIL ART!

Behind the cut you will see a pathetically large "nail art" supply that I didn't realize was growing to monstrous proportions until I took these pictures o_O

Photobucket

Above you will see an assortment of fake nails (not for wearing, I wanted the glue/stickers from the packages), Swarovski crystal "elements" (holy freaking expensive), and a plethora of tacky, shiny, sparkly, girly nail embellishments. Add that to a drawer full of nailpolish, and you have one bored Courtney.

Photobucket

Quote on a vase.

Photobucket

Really beautiful jewelry box I hot from my Mum at Christmas <3

(and, from l to r, bowl of Watering Kissmint chewing gum, Maneki Neko's, jewelry box, sushi/soy dish w/ 2 chopstick rest)

Photobucket

1/4th of Shayne's Christmas gifts to me, but this was belated (because he forgot it in New Brunswick *shakes fist*, so it had to be mailed out and I received it this morning ^_^)--and yes, I do always look this bad when there's no one to impress but myself :P See the question I asked above, and thus, the "explanation" of my extreme green "bunnyhug" (hoodie).

Photobucket

SUSHI PAN! *ahem* I call this piece, "Sushi, Reflecting"

Thanks for reading!!

Photobucket

xoxo, Courtney

I pretty much keep whatever I wore to work on until I think about changing.

I put on pajama pants and a huge t-shirt RIGHT away! Like I cannot stand being in uncomfortable clothes at my house because I like to watch tv in bed :)
Loves the nail art!

Comfort is KEY! I like to rock Hello Kitty PJ pants and some baggy shirt that Shayne's given to me, haha.

And thank you....I'm not usually big into nail art, but sometimes it's so cute (on other people, in magazines, etc), so In figured why not, it's easy to remove if I hate it :P

omg, i change the second i get in the house, too. In winter, its pyjama pants and a jumper/hoodie (particularly www.petealexander.com.au ones, cause they're super cute and comfy, i have sooo many pairs of pj pants and trackpants). In summer, its a singlet and a pair of shorts, usually boxer shorts or the like. I cant stand keeping the same clothes on that ive worn during the day!

PS - im coming to your house for nail art fun, kay?

I change into "comfy clothes" before I even check my e-mails or anything which is crazy, because we all know I'm a computer-aholic :P

What do *you* wear, when you're hanging out around your house?: Normally super comfy PJ pants and a tshirt, and possibly a sweater or hoodie. But ALWAYS PJ pants.
Seriously, the moment I walk in the door, if i'm home for the rest of the day, I change into my PJs immediately. :D

Also, you're super cute.

Also, I totally did my nails tonight for the first time in over a year. I did a french manicure type thing, except instead of white tips, turquoise! and a small little crystal gem in the middle of each tip. They look awesome.
My dad gave me the stuff to do all that, as a christmas present. And now i'm addicted. I want to go to walmart and such and buy all kinds of cute nail art stuff. More crystals, and nail polish and whatnot. Do they sell nailpolish PENS? of any sort?. I want to be able to draw things, like... zebra print, and a pen would make it easy.. I guess I could just use a sharpie over white nail polish and then a clear coat?. HMM.

The green hoodie ("bunnyhug") is the type of clothing I change into as soon as I get in the house...almost always a hoodie in the cold months (I have 5 or 6 HUGE hoodies that I never wear in public, they're seriously XXL, and I'd wear a S or M in them normally), but they're soooo comfy...and either shorts, leggings or PJ pants.

Oooh, you should post pictures of your nails!! I want to see them!!! I got a lot of my nail decals/jewels at Michael's and at any random Dollar Store (sooo cheap!), and there are "nail pens," but I've only seen the OPI/Nicole Brand, and I've never tried them. The sharpie actually sounds like a really good idea....let me know if you try it, as I might have to, as well o_O

Heh, I wear oversized hoodies in public, but I think they work for me, lol.

And omg Michaels? that's awesome! i'll have to check them out for nail stuffs.

I used to use a sharpie & clear nailpolish in replace of black nailpolish, because i've found EVERY black nailpolish i've tried, you have to use several coats to make it dark enough, and then it would take forever to dry, lol.
And if you have one bottle of clear for that purpose only, if you used the clear polish BEFORE the sharpie dried, it would make your nails black, with a nice purple tint to them. :D

I'm going to sound ultra ghetto, but Michael's occasionally has 50% off coupons in their flyer, and HOLA! It's *amazing* when you don't want to spend $30 on a little packet of nail jewels or something, hahaha.

Oh, and as for hoodies--they only work for me if I'm wearing tight pants or leggings, otherwise I just look ridiculous!

And--I've used a variety of brands of black nailpolish, and the ONLY black that looks good to me are the cheap-o kind that are $2--the NYC brand or wet n wild, from pretty much any pharmacy or wal-mart/zellers, etc.

I used to do the sharpie thing, too.....but wow, "DUH" moment here, I never thought to use the clear polish over it. *headdesk*

Heh, I LOVE their 50% off coupons. I make jewelery, and constantly use coupons for new clay & beads and whatnot, lol.

Awe!
But hey, whatever works.
I'm not skinny-minnie.. heh, but for some reason, oversized hoodies make me look smaller, so I like them. LOL.

Yeah? i'll have to check out that brand of black polish.. I don't have any sharpies left apparently, lol.

Yeah! the clear polish makes it all shiny & smooth, and makes it look MORE black. So nice. I haven't worn "black polish" in well over 3 years now though... heh.

Oh and here is a picture!

I love them! I have really short fingers, and I find that nailpolish tends to make my fingers look shorter. But just doing the tips doesn't, haha. No colour-overload. :P

50% Michael's coupons are a godsend, although I know people who are actually too embarrassed to use them...WTF? That'd be like being too embarrassed to buy something because it was on sale =/

omg I am so jealous of your nekos! Now I want one!!!

Oh yeah, growing up, we had "Outside Clothes" and "Home Clothes" = as soon as we entered the house, we took off our shoes and put on our slippers (so Asian), and changed into our "play clothes" = sweats, t-shirts, sweaters.

Nowadays I change into fleece PJs and slippers. Yup, super sexy, that's me :P

I got them about 3 years ago at a little shop here that used to sell tons of "Asian-inspired" trinkets, but they basically only sell "Wicca" and earthy things now. Such a disappointment.

Haha, I always wear slippers as soon as I get in...big fluffy slippers, haha. And huge sweaters! And not-so-cute shorts (like, they're 7 years old, and look like they've seen better days...that type.)

I'm definitely at my happiest in my "at home" clothes ^_^

First thing to do when I'm home, even before starting computer or offering drinks to guests, even when I'm over at other people's house: changing into fresh socks!
I usually also change into trainers or pajama pants, it's more comfortable than jeans, but that's no must and I do it only when I'm alone and not going out anymore.

Those lucky cats are overly cute.
That Courtney is overly cute as well *smiles*

So much nail art! Looks like you want to spend the next years playing around on your nails...?

i wear dress pants, sweaters, and button ups all day at work. around dinner time, i usually change into sweats and a bunny hug. partly because i can only stand to be that buttoned in for so long and i only have so many clothes and do laundry only once a week, and i dont want to reek like what i cooked for dinner at work when i wear what i had on again!

I wear "home clothes" for laundry reasons, too. Why dirty my good clothes while I'm cooking? It's pointless!

And I definitely hate when my clothes smell of onion or something...ew >_>

Ahhhh, socks! Haha. I HATE wearing my "old socks" (as in, the ones that were in my shoes when I was out that day) around the house......getting out of my socks is the first thing I do at home, even before changing...wow, I'd never even thought of it that way!!!

And awww, thank you. I was feeling especially nerdy, so I took a picture, haha

And the nail art stuff I've been collecting for the past 6 months or so, and then your post about your nails inspired me to actually do my nails!!! So, thank you!! And yes, I plan on doing as many designs as possible, until I run out of supplies (or out of sparkly Swarovski's :P)

*laugh* and I always thought I'd be the only one having "shoe socks" and "home socks" ...relieving to know I'm not crazy ^_^

Just now I thought about the count my nailpolish. I think it's 9, of which are 6 white, beige or colorless.
The other day when I watched my bestfriend doing her nails I was shocked about her amount of blingbling stones and nailpolish in all colors and glitter variants *laugh* but I think you've even got more up there.
So I can look forwards to many shiny Courtney nail pictures and style recommendations? *happy*

Your picture post with your nails was my inspiration to actually USE all the "nail bling" I have, so I'll definitely post more when I do them! They're slightly inconvenient though. I lost a "jewel" when I scratched my head for a second, because it got caught in my hair...haha, awkward.

I don't actually have that many nailpolish....well, I guess I have quite a few, but I know girls who have enough nailpolish to paint their nails a different color every day for a YEAR probably. I have about 15 bottles that I use, most of which are pink...or clear. And more than one black, which is really weird.

Some girly stuff is just so fun :D

So fast? That never happens to me. I do the dishes, go swimming, prepare food and still after a week I have almost all of my stones on my nails where they belong to.
Did you cover it with a layer of clear nailpolish? Usually it should hold for a while then!

When I painted my nails black more often I had many kinds of black as well... mainly to try out which is the best of them *laugh* so many brands produce shitty black nail polish. But I've thrown away and given away all the make-up I don't use, so now it's just one good black :D

It is... definitely ^-^

when i get home i change first thing, well... right after pissin, anyways.

it's actually recommended that you change, it's symbollic and helps to relieve you of work stress. often i shower when i get home too, cuz i am totally nastoid after work.

i get out of my work shoes, and work black khakis (i hang these up high due to cat hair in the house) cuz they are unpleasant.
this time of year i get into thermal pants, sweat pants (kids sizes from target), slippers, maybe socks, and a hoodie, maybe a scarf, and a carhartt coat over that if necessary.
during the late spring summer it turns into balla shorts, hoodie or tank top.

a beanie/tuque is acceptable any time of year.

if i'm gonna go back out, i skip all the lazy gear and get straight into jeans and whatever i will wear out, cuz i don't want to have to change again later.

i will try to bypass putting on anything black that i wear out in the house, though, again, due to cat hair.

Oh, I know what you mean about the cat hair.

My "good winter coat" is black (as opposed to all my other winter coats, that aren't necessarily good, and too big on me anyway), and it's a cat hair magnet.

Plus, my cat LOVES me when I wear black. She's actually friendlier when I'm wearing good clothes, as opposed to my "house clothes."

But then again, she's mean...haha.

I'm glad to know that mostly everyone I talk to via LJ wears comfy clothes at home...because my "IRL" friends find it weird =/

My hubbie always changes his stuff after work, as well as once he has no intention of going out for the evening. Of course, he works with dead aminals like fish, coos, and chickenses, so once he gets home it would be bad if he did not change. Because he would smell. Like fish. or coos. or chickenses.
