I'm not a terribly religious person, but for those of you who believe in prayer--whether it's to God, a god/goddess, Buddha...whoever...could you please pray for my aunt?

She was doing well this afternoon around 4 when I left to go to work, and 45 minutes later I found out she may have had a stroke, a "mini" stroke, or a TIA (I think)--or "maybe" a reaction to morphine (which I doubt, as these symptoms mimic a stroke). I stayed at work a bit longer, but eventually couldn't concentrate so I went to the hospital...she can't talk, and her right side is weak. She's fully alert otherwise, and can communicate sort of, just...can't speak, write, or even spell.

Please just...pray, or something. Thank you so much.

I have a very wide appreciation for music; 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s...I love it all. Some more than others, but...at least a little from every genre, every type, every scene...probably every country, too.

Tonight, I am obsessed with an old 80s song by Tom Cochrane (he's Canadian, for anyone who has no idea who he is) called, "Boy Inside The Man". I have no idea what it is about this song--mainly the chorus--that I've loved forEVER.

Books!?!

Please suggest reading material for me.

Books, please. Not magazines or manga. I read enough magazines/comics as it is.

I haven't been a reading-junkie since I was in high school, when I used to tear through books faster than anyone I knew. I'd devour novels in one night, and read around four a week (to keep the geek-level low). Mind you, I was a huge loner and lacked a social life, but whatever, my reading skills were impressive, as was my vocabulary. Now I keep a dictionary by my side and frequent www.dictionary.com as I sometimes forget the meaning of simple words. Sad what developing a social life and getting drunk a lot did to me.

I'm going to the library tomorrow to take out 10 books. Not romance novels, though, as...I don't like them. Something...fierce...would be great.

I'm open to anything unless it's scary, as I'm a huge wuss and don't want to have to sleep with the light on =(
